Since most matches are home and away match, it only seems fair that the home club gets the money from the tickets. If the stadium sizes differ (which is a result from investment made by the club who owns the stadium mostly) it wouldn't be fair that the club with the biggest stadium gets less money from playing abroad than they could make for their own, that would be a bad return on investment.
Also, if this where the case, the club with the smaller stadium would probably be better of (money wise mind you) to go and play abroad and take the 40% cut of a larger sum than the 60% cut of their small sum.
To put it bluntly, the idea of splitting ticket money is retarded from any way you look at it. If you invest money to make your stadium as big as possible, you will always receive the maximum amount of money, without having to depend on the opponent for the income generated from matches. while in this game (and in the real world) you have to split your ticket money over two matches, it doesn't matter: if you invest in a bigger stadium, bigger cuts for you.

I just have one thing to say...!!!!!! If they should split income from tickets... shouldn't they split the expenses too?? or is that only the home team...?? I really think youre almost drowning here... that's really one of the worst things I've heard... of course a club gets the income from their own home game... after all it is a rather realistic game this
